SCDOT Highway 701 Widening, Horry County, SC (on-going). We are responsible for the wetland delineation, assistance with NEPA documentation, and USACE permit for the highway widening.
We have completed several PCNs for Nationwide Permits. Some of these had endangered species concerns, some had mitigation (wetland and stream) credit calculations necessary. We coordinated with the Mitigation Bank owners to purchase credits for the projects.
Daniel Island Shore Restoration, Charleston County, SC. Jake was the botanist/wetland biologist on call to aid in the proper soils/substrate procurement for the re-establishment of salt marsh along a section of shoreline on Daniel Island.
Fairlawn Plantation Restoration, Charleston County, SC. Jake was the lead botanist working with a primary consulting firm, on monitoring the vegetative growth and species composition for a restored wetland area on Fairlawn Plantation.
Charleston County Transportation Development, Isle of Palms, SC. We conducted an endangered species survey, completed the associated Biological Assesment, conducted Section 7 consultation with the USFWS, and completed and received a USACE permit for wetland fill for intersection improvements at the Isle of Palms Connector.
